Week 1: "Let's Go!"

Night one of Peter's season of The Bachelor is in the books and I already feel like I know the main characters of the season. We met 25 ladies in the three hour premier and got to see a couple appearances by Hannah Brown (more on that below). The ones that stand out to me from the first impression were Victoria P (the super sweet nurse who reminds me so much of Tennley from several seasons ago), Victoria F (who seems like kind of a B), Hannah Ann (So.Much.Energy. And is playing the game 100% to get to the end), Madison (first impression, I thought she was another Hannah Ann but for real she's a keeper), Kelley (met Peter before the show started and he is totally into her already), MyKenna (probably not going to make it to the end but seems like she'll be a lot of drama while she's around), and Sarah (Who's Sarah? Yeah we didn't see that much of her but what we did see of her was pretty chill and she seems cute).

After the first rose ceremony, only 3 girls got the cut... seriously, only 3. I don't know why I'm always surprised by this but I totally expect like 10 girls to get cut on the first night. Why don't they narrow it down to 15 right off the bat, that would be PLENTY. Anyway, before that happened we got the first little Hannah B. appearance. She just dropped by to give Peter the wings he gave her on the first night back and the girls lost their G.D. minds. But then she was gone and it was no big deal.

First impression rose went to Hannah Ann after she inserted herself SEVERAL times into other people's one-on-one time. She's going for it and Peter likey. He likes her views on marriage and that her parents have been together a long time (just like his), actually a lot of girls must know that this is something that Peter values because it came up a lot last night.

First group date was Flying School, of course. It was actually pretty fun for a group date with some aviation lessons and an obstacle course which provided the first real drama of the season when Kelley "cheated" in order to win. Then she got to take a sunset tour with Peter and the girls were not cool with it. Especially Shiann who has already cried multiple times on the show - I don't think she's going to handle this "journey" well.

Madison got the first one-on-one and it was a quintessential Bachelor date! Peter took her to his parents house to attend their renewal of vows (ON THE FIRST DATE). Guys, watch out for Madison. Even though she's young and her production package was pretty cheesy, she's the real deal. He should just propose to her right now and save the other girls the heart ache.

Group date two, the shit kind of hit the fan. Hannah B. was back and this time she stole the show. Turns out she and Peter have some unresolved feelings and him being the Bachelor has not been easy for her, and him seeing her upset really rocks the boat for him. So many people are up in arms about this. Guys, she was filming Dancing with the Stars while he was filming The Bachelor. She's not going to stick around. But it's keeping us entertained in the meantime. We'll find out next week how this resolves but my guess is that they part ways amicably and that will be that. They just need to work this all out (for the audience) so we really know that they are both ready to move on.

Just a few last notes about night one. For pete sake, they are really getting some leverage out of the whole "4 TIMES" and the Windmill. The girls this season are hot for Peter and they aren't afraid to go for the dirty jokes to stand out (what must their parents think?). Also, there were way too many flight attendants cast. Luckily, he got rid of some of them so we won't have to put up with that cheese all season. And lastly, a word of advice. If you're ever cast on this show, try not to get schwastey face on night one. You'll look like an idiot and probably get sent home.

Until next week!
